A few years back I got out. Sold my UrQ after pending countless hours and stupid money making the 'perfect' car only too late figuring out that my definition of perfect had changed along the way. So away the UrQ went (she went to good home) with all my Audi parts and bits and into Porsche I dove. Then it turns out my definition of automotive-value, and life-happiness changed as well - resulting in those purdy 911's in my stable were looking more and more like money-sucking Vampires. Sure absolute power and hot looks is fun, but they kind of drain the life (money/time) out of you ya-know?

So what does a person do? Was I going to become a Truck-Texan, or make good on my intent to follow those I envy who think cars are toasters and therefore don't throw large amounts of their (not really) disposable income into shiny, mechanical break-down machines? Nope - as a true creature of habit I went to my safe place. The 2013 Carrera S turned into a 2013 S4, and my love of the Audi product was rekindled. But I guess I should have first done a mental sniff-test to see of my internal oily-rags were ready to set ablaze.

Because they were.

Almost 1yr to the day the 2013 S4 came into the stable I ALREADY have 2 more old(er) Audi cars because of Steamboat needs, and future race car and because why not and so on and so forth. My hording wildfire is ready to consume all available space and time. Without further delay I offer the pics of 'Bloo' the '94 90q purchased a number of months back and 'UglyBetty' the '95.5 S6 who followed me home from Colorado this past weekend.

So yea... Hello Boys! I baaaaaacccckkkk!

I guess it's just luck. In the 20+ quattro's I've owned over the 25+ years I only had one other blue one and that was an '83 Amazon UrQ (rust bucket from Boston).

Even stranger, BOTH of these cars are Blue over Grey. No blue dashes, or steering wheels!

Ha Ha, all that time searching for spherical bearings for Chinese camber plates made you lust for the good old days!

To complete our research, I ended up getting another complete set of camber plates from ground control that includes the weld in plates and torrington bearings, everything sized to work with the bilsteins. Shipped out yesterday.

So when are you coming back to help weld these into the rally car?!

Nice cars! I've managed to stay in the Audi game over the years (since ~2000), although now driving a 1999 A4, but I do miss the older 90 inline-5 20v. I hope one day to pick up a B4 like yours as a project car, would give me something to hang the S2 bumper on that's been collecting dust for 10 years.

Yay, a prodigal son returns! Glad to hear from you. I still fondly remember our double-Urq high-speed return thru southern Colorado after the 25yr gathering. :-)

Congrats on the full stable!
I just stumbled across my old B5 S4 for sale locally and it got me to thinking about having another go at the B5. Kinda tied up with Mini Coopers (wife and daughters eh) at the moment and a house project so perhaps it will need to wait just a tad longer. Then again, if the right car pops up it would be hard to say no.
