That is indeed a beetle headlight switch...

Interesting to note that the pike's peak car might be difficult to start. Isn't that an empty ecu connector in the passenger side foot well?

Nice pics!

Four things:

Image

1) I want THIS exact tach. I can't find a flush mount VDO tach of this size and RPM limit. Anybody know any sources or see any recently?

2) That's a 10V set up for an 8KRPM redline!

3) Is that big orange lens for a shift light?

4) I could swear that that is a Beetle headlamp switch!

Maybe an older porsche tach, like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche- ... 35a4ed4c57

if you search "porsche tach" lots come up, I love vintage german gauges.

I had an awesome german tire pressure regulator that was a dealer accessorie with a 1974 911 that I sold with the rusted tool kit, got them in a box of tools my old roomate gave me. I sorta regret selling it.

WHOA! I want the heatshield between the intake and exhaust manifolds on the 10v. When did they use the 20v on Audi rallye cars? I thought it was always a 10v?

Hey, Whats the big round thing on the back of the Valve Cover on the 20v's? All three variations here have the same device.
