Missing the front bumper. And still not worth anything more than a regular 5ktq

86 4Kq - with a 10vt swap (I think)

I've seen this car once - it belongs to the guy who built the exhaust in my V8 coupe

Hah. I just saw a 1996ish looking Jetta with Audi rings on the back and a huge loud gross exhaust. All the VW branding was removed. This reminds me of that.

Man this is such a great car! It was done at my shop. The initial build was done before I worked there, but I've done some work to it in preparation of it being sold. Such a blast to drive.

Hey maverick

I've been buzzing the tower trying to get a response from your shop for a chassis resto and colour update on my Urq to the same Alpine White as this one.

Think you can light a fire under someones arse so we can start getting the logistics hashed out sir?

Thanks

Yes it does! My brother bought that ruined GTI here in Tucson as a donor for his Scirocco project. I took some higher quality photos. Note that we had to remove that huge chin spoiler just to get it on the trailer:

I pass these things all the time of the highway heading god knows where. They are usually just putting along at or just below the posted limit with two ex-hippies grinning wildly as they savor the scenery. I often wonder how they manage to disconnect so effectively and find the time and money to just bugger off to smell the roses. I seem to need to work every day just to keep up with the bills.

Contrast that with the quarter million dollar moving yachts you see towing a Range Rover on their way to some RV campground where they can park next to other other quarter million dollar lend yachts. I gotta say guys, we are a weird society.

So are you the back to mother nature type or the gotta keep up with the Jone's type?

Saw this the other day, same car as mine:

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-auto-body-parts/ ... nFlag=true" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

'88 olympic edition 5ktq. With the alcantara & leather sport seats, they look mint. Man I should almost buy it as a parts car. Probably would if it weren't 400mi away, and I had space for it.

Guessing the front clip has been repainted at some point, since it's now tornado pink...

Anyone know this guy? I've been emailing him for at least a week now, no return contact. I'd really like to pick this up if it's in any kind of decent shape.
