vems forum is no help. When I lift off to shift, lambda goes to .7 and I just failed emissions because of it. Is there a setting or something that controls that? My map is from another member and tuned professionally, so what the hell man? It's 10-20 Kp (I live at 7000 feet) and 2000-4000 rpm with perfect lambda during cruise near those points. Just lifting to shifts causes mad rich condition. Is this timing or some hidden setting or what? I'm going batshit crasy with this one.

can you post a log so we can see your setup? would be easier to diagnose rather than going back and forth with try this or that.

Are you talking about instances like this? I think this is a normal occurrence (i have it too). As the throttle shuts there is a lack of air going through the intake making it rich for a moment. if you look at the duration its only for 3/10ths of a second. i think thats just one of those things that comes with a speed density setup.

It doesn't go rich because lack of air. The pressure sensor + TPS can figure that out. I know nothing about VEMS, but that doesn't need to happen.

Yeah, it's not supposed to dump 50 times the HC limit out the pipe everytime you shift. I working on it, but even a so called professional tune for the 4.2 ABZ was total junk and contained show-stopping errors in basic configuration. I'm having to become an expert on the fly but I made it 1500 miles without blowing the engine (barely). Tuned for 1.07 at 80mph on the road and it was all great while the temp was in the 40s. When I got to sacramento, the pinging started lol. Not in the 1.07 part of the lambda, but the rich part. There was no retard on accel set and MAT retard was disabled... sheesh. One thing affecting emissions was the injector angle was set to spray on an open valve, ~420 deg rather than a closed valve - ~220 deg. Overrun fuel cut is REALLY tricky to set without causing problems and living at 7000 MSL was making the tune crazy hard. Gettin it tho....
