Anyone know of a way to take the spreadsheet format and make it be presented in graph form? I'd like to set it up basically to display as the plotter feature does, it seems easier to quickly spot "bumps" in a parameter. Thanks for any info. Joe

If you open the logfile (CSV) in a spreadsheet program, you can plot the whatever data you want in any format the spreadsheet can support.

Just highlite the data (if you highlite the top row you will have an automatic legend), then click on graph ( or the equivalent maneuver) and go through the graph wizard to finish the graph.

I have been using this recnetly.
http://nyet.org/cars/ECUxPlot/

It works pretty well, but takes some getting used to.

How do you import our CSV to it?

Got command line?

It's simply an app that can open/parse CSV's. It can be installed with a shell extension so you can right-click on CSV's an open them with it.

It helped me track down an unstable map sensor feed, the car runs better than it ever has now. My zeitronix was stable as can be. But the ECU needed a .030 restrictor. Since I primarily log with the zeitronix because I can instantly review them, I never knew I needed the restrictor.

Okay, mini break through (for me at least). I have been manually editing my CSV data logs and viewing them in excel. It is tedious.

I found I can do some very minor tweaking to the CSV file and then import it into megalogview HD. It pumps out very nice graphs with minimum pre processing effort. The trial version is limited to 2500 lines of data for analysis but it still shows all the data in the graphics window.

Attached is a screenshot of a short drive. You can see the upshifts 1, 2, 3, 4 clearly.

Steve
ps I hope I'm not in trouble for bring a megasquirt tool to our party :)

I simply deleted the first few lines that list the time and date the log was created. Edit the CSV so row 1 has the labels and the remaining rows are data with no blank lines. Then it imports directly.

I have been playing with MegaLogViewer HD for a while now and really like it. Like Steve said delete this information below from the log and it works great.

Log Begins on 03-08-2013 17:28:53
LOG_FILE V1.00.02

Here is a side by side comparison of a 1st-2nd run that I logged with my zeitronix and the 034ECU plotter dump.

It is. I wish I had it back in school it is a great value for 50 bucks if you work with large data sets.

The 3d plots are quick to setup. They take me hours in maple or matlab.
