After 6 years of s l o w l y building i guess its time to start a thread.

The goods:

1990 Cq
Dawkins semi built (6-14) 3b motor
7a cam
MLS hg
Arp studs
spec stage 3 clutch
3b s2 wire harness (thanks Josh)
IA 3+ chip 2.5 bar pressure transducer
740cc injectors (6-14)
Innovative wide band (6-14)
044 fuel pump (6-14)
TurboSmart wg, plumed by Houdek
fancy air filter- HKS
shorty tube manifold- Happersized, cooked, 1 manni dead (6/13) O34 t-3 log manni
3" LoveFab down tube (now 3" 3MG (Frank) very custom down tube
custom 3" pipes
custom e-Bay / Local IC 18"x8"x3" & 2 1/4" piping
metal dizzy gear
k26 2.2"(smoked) now k24, (turbo no.4) HY35 (6/14)
5 lug (s2 rear- s4 front hubs)
H&R - with Bilstein urs4 sport inserts (bbse)
B4 strut brace (new 6/12)
Mance upper strut mount front
034 street upper rear
034 solid sub frame front and rear
034 street D control arm bushings
034 snub
1991 suspension swap
'92 Fox front seat mounts, for the sikness
Gray cloth "quattro" script seats (non electric)
17x8 bbs ry- 16x8 fuchs- 16-7 avus-++++
custom jack mounts (6/12)

...and some more lil bits

Question: i hope its not a stupid one.
In side the the cabin near the ecu plug is a tag that says
"Altitdude sensor" with its own plug. Where is this sensor in the 200?
I don't rember seeing it in the now 2 200's I've dismanteled, or in the 2 urs4's that i've also dismanteled. When reading about it a while back, i thought it to be in the ECU. So, where is the altitude sensor?

thanks
Cheers![/img]

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.

Here's one:

If I remeber correctly, in the 200, the altitude sensor is on the drivers side, in the footwell to the left.

Then again, maybe it was on the passenger side. Or was it under the rear seat? No no, definately not under the rear seat. Driver's side, my final answer.

Come to think of it, I think it was mounted to the same point as the hood release lever, or at least in that vicinity.

ok, its going, but slow. most wires are home but the black conector/2 blue wires at fuse panel. is this the "ignition" wire you speak of?
pump is flowing, power to the coil but no power from the coil. ( black wire is hot). (no spark btw). any thoughts? also having some trouble fittin the urs front hubs. Does tha gehetto fab involve a bit of shimming? maybe on the axel in trade for the 5mm left out? the abs ring bottoms out. took it off and still bottoms out. maybe some shimms between caliper and nuckel? please excuse tha poor spelling.

cheers

thanks

mostly all together , but does not run. the 5 lug is totally gehetto at the moment, but it'll work for now. 5mm shim behind splines, and 2mm shims on the caliper carrier. lame, but it rolls. all the wires have a home, but some must be in the wrong home as it is only barn art at he moment. if there are any suggestions out there it would be greatly apperciated. geday mates

This isn't going to exactly pickup where things left, but we'll do our best to include everyone in the fun that is Quattro Building.

Snagged a couple photos spotlighting the placement of the exhaust manifold and it's custom motor mount. Kelty can add more detailed insight into the pedigree of the parts.

Has anyone tried to mount the air cleaner back in the old battery box location? I noticed that it has cold air feed holes from below the windshield(highpressure area). I was looking at some old audi racecars and there was quite a show of high-hp monsters breathing from this area. Although they also vent the hood with louvers and run an airbox back in place of the HVAC box I think this could work.

Build a decent box to shield from heat and draw air from outside.

The aircleaner is an old HKS model that deserves some photos as well(but they have to wait). After you remove the pancake metal shield and foam is a delightful web of plastic that controls airflow through the filter smoothing it as it passes. At the base of the filter lies the velocity stack. I thought that it was pretty neat and I love scrounging old hotrod parts such as this from friends.

Well I'm going to start this off by saying that the thing runs and drives. Still needs to be finished but after 7yrs of silence The Little Coupe That Could is alive and well. Only makes 5psi and I already checked in on the other thread.
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=39316&view=unread#unread Hopefully I can figure it out first!

Currently setup in stg1 not-intercooled. It's winter and I just haven't settled on the 'right' design for the pieces that we have. You may notice multiple years and models of Audis Frankensteined into this vehicle. All pieces have a purpose and most are used because we had them. It's amazing what you can do with an erector-set of Audi parts. On to the pics.

I think that you're just jealous of my naturally occuring rust. That is a small amount of rust that will be gone after bedding in the pads. Remember that this car was built out of mainly used audi bits that where laying around. Many totalled audi's donated their organs here.

Codes indicate problem in N75 valve. Testing at valve reveals power and switching ground under Output test. N75 shows resistance of .5ohm but does not 'click' under Output test. Time for an N75valve and we should have boost back...

It looks like there's a giant 1/8 inch wide gash in one of the brake discs all the way around. or am I way wrong?

Just an illusion. Thats where the pad was draggin a bit. There Is about 30 miles in it now. The discs look better. And Lotsa leaks to tend to. Surprise!!! The turbo is f'd too. Thinking that at least 1 of the 2 spares around would work I removed the turbo, then noticed both spares are junk. Sweet. On the hunt for a k27 or some sort of k26 hybrid...
