To those that have gone megasquirt on 10v's, I have a question. On MS3 or MS3X, can you do single coil distributor ignition with just the 5 window dizzy as the timing sensor, or do you need to put a 60-2 timing wheel on? also, if it cant be done on MS3, can it be done on MS2?

That's absolutely doable, on MS2 or MS3 (even MS1 I think).

Things you lose are the timing accuracy that comes with using a crank sensor, and the ability to do sequential injection or coil-on-plug ignition. That's because separate crank and cam sensors are required for those features.

Well, this is just so I can drive the car because I haven't driven it in awhile. I need to break the clutch in and DD It a little. I will never makIngrid a new harness and doing cop and all that sometime in the summer

Makes sense!

If you're planning on upgrading later, I'd strongly recommend going with the MS3+MS3X from the start. COP is doable with MS2 with a lot of hardware mods, sequential injection is pretty much impossible. With the MS3+MS3X, you just wire it up and go driving.

I don't know if you've seen this thread: http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=43169 but I've been helping Dave a bit with his MS setup and it's worked out pretty well.
