he said the car had few problems, but still a good deal.

Craaaaap. Did he drive it the whole way home? that was a fantastic deal. I need to get my finances in order and get a damn 20v in my garage soon, it's starting to affect my ability to concentrate.

Nice! Good on him for having the cajones to get it done.

Speaking of IAAI, check out this 4000 Quattro in MA with only 73,000 miles!

Except the odometer is broken so mileage could be much higher

This may be a repost, don't know/don't care lol. Not sure what's up with the paint, maybe it's plasty dip, didn't see a mention of that tho. I guess at 11k, even if it needs a paint job, all the other work/mods are worth that easily.

I remember that coupe, its been around a while. I bet its a bit of a rat now, but could be brought back to glory. I think 11k might be a bit steep.

Here is what it used to look like

Two funny ones on ebay:

Pretty funny description:

Really crazy description, but a pretty damn good deal (if you like turbo diesels, and I do!)

Another coupe swap. Looks like a good base to start? Broken windshield but the body looks decent(no major dents). The main body anyway, not the mk3 bumpers lol. I'm a bit confused tho as to how mk 3 bumpers are that much lighter than stock?

That's why my preference is to find one of these things one of you guys have already dedicated time to.

Hey, just a heads up, if anyone gets an update from row52.com or Pick-n-Pull (Lynnwood,WA location) that theres a '91 V8 5-speed silver/grey there, I'll save you from wasting your day/posting it. I drove down from Bellingham today in rain/bad traffic(2.5 hrs for 1.3 normal) and that car their computer said was received 5 days ago turned out to be a 91 black auto thats been there that used to be mine....Ha They have no idea where the 5-speed is(national chain), so when and if that info surfaces, I'll post it. Tom

That's the 2nd time they've posted a V8q and said it was a 5spd and it wasn't.
Local guy grabbed all of the good stuff off it the day it came in (fenders/bumpers/rear diff).
