As of now, the weather is supposed to be sunny and in the 80's. We will see how much that changes as it gets closer...

Great job Cameron. I had enough of a fight getting my head off with the engine out of the car.

The Harness from Marc is a thing of beauty.
Where did you end up finding the NOS Bungs, directly from 034 (are there any more left? :) )

Surprisingly, I didn't have much of an issue getting the head off. It was a bit cumbersome because the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, turbo, and downpipe were all still attached when I took it out!

The harness was definitely worth the cost/wait. I'm thinking maybe in a few weeks I'll install the harness!

It was just dumb luck that I found someone in the small chassis Audi Facebook group that had bought them and they didn't fit his head. 034 does not sell them anymore unfortunately. Marc and I were trying to get some made but the prototypes he sent me didn't quite fit correctly. If you really need them made-up i could probably send mark a sample so he could have it copied. Additionally, you could modify the stock seats by drilling out the bottoms to open them up a bit and using the cis oring on the EFI injector. That was my back up plan if I couldn't find other seats to work.

Block is painted as close to an original rally build color as I could find. Very 1980s.

Things to do-
-Install new motor mounts
-Fab up a heat shield for the passenger side mount
-clean, paint miscellaneous engine parts
-install arp head studs
-pick up head from machine shop
-reassemble engine
-install wiring
-drive away

Sounds easy enough right?

Looks great! I sometimes wish I had painted the block in my car before putting it back in. Then again, with all the oil, coolant, and fuel I have ended up spraying allover my engine bay, it probably wouldn't be there anymore. :frustrated:

Plans always seem "easy" in the beginning. I wish they stayed that way... At least you are starting off with a descent harness. Had to make mine from scratch. That was a PITA!

Yeah looks awesome . I love the color.
I made the mistake of doing black once and I couldn't see any oil leaks .

Looks great mate. Good job.

Which heat shield do you need to fab?

Work has ceased on the Audi to prep the integrale for Carlisle.

On a side note- my integrale was on velocity's motorweek.
