VW Nut and anyone else..

I have put my old registry back up.. and will start to convert it over to my new website.. but short of entering new data anyone can play around with this.. this is an early version that was a bit lengthy with having to enter data, but it has been severely reworked since then. I also built this page as not only a registry, but also a breakdown of our build codes.. but I have since added seperate sections on my page for these..

good stuff! i recognize a few names/cars on your list too.

The build sticker is missing out of my 4000 quattro but i think i can improvise and my UR quattro is over at my friends house getting all the body work done and painted. whenever i get a chance to go over my buddys i'll take a pic of build sticker in my URq and add it to your list.

Wow you sir are a brave man. Very impressive and glad you are going back to stock color.
Any plans for engine?

its going to be helios blue again just as audi intended it. i bought a 4000 parts car so the UR quattro can come back to life. i've wanted one of these cars since i was a kid and seen them tearing up the road in group B. this is my only chance to own one so im gonna try my hardest to restore it back to its original glory. im just leaving the stock engine in it for now as it runs well still. it already has a chip, exhaust and K&N filter. my 4000 quattro has an AAN swap in it and i've considered unswapping it to put the AAN in the UR quattro. but i need my 4000 too so i was just going to assemble a ghetto 20VT for the 4000.

After 25 years (and literally 1000's of hours) of compiling urq information I can identify well over 500 cars with either partial VINs and/or photos. It's true that some owners are very private and don't want information publicized. I've been organizing my data for the past few years and feel it could be time for a web site which details the cars w/o tying into owners private information. It will basically document the cars that have existed(or still exist). There's more than you think. Domain names have been purchased, I just need to take the next step. I have a significant personal investment in compiling the data so I'm not going to give it away. I am always more than willing to share information with other urq historians, aka Sepp and Martin, but finding the correct level of disclosure is a challenge. And according to the letter I have from AoA, it's 668 cars brought to the US. 8)

Did we talk at Carlisle last year or the year before. I have an 85 urq in graphite that is pretty stock.

Cool.. the window sticker is for a different car, WAUDCO859EA900919 belonged to Thompson Smith, not sure if he still has it. Can anyone confirm?

Reviving and old conversation here. I currently own WAUDC0859EA900919. I have the complete ownership and service record history with it. Mr Smith parted ways with the car long ago in 2003.

So what became of the efforts to have a public registry? I still can't find one. I own a number of European classic cars: Porsche, Alfa, VW, Audi, etc. Every one of them has at least one public registry. Even the 20v 200 Avant has (had?) a functioning registry...a much rarer Audi in the US than the ur Quattro. Not sure I understand this situation.

So that window sticker that's floating around online belongs to my car, and even though I got the entire service file, the sticker was not in there. If someone has the original I'd really like to get it reunited with the car.

Congratulations!!
As mentioned previously, there's quite a good number of owners wishing to keep the info on their cars under the radar.
Driggs has a good site set up, showing the info of those that volunteered their info.

Glad somebody owns my old urquattro 919 and glad to see it is back in an enthusiasts ownership. Yes, I scanned the original window sticker and had it on an older website over on rennlist.

Rear sway bar was installed by Vermont SportsCar.

I can look in my records, but I'm pretty sure the original window sticker went with the sale, along with every other documented record I had collected when I sold it. Hopefully I'm wrong and I still have it ?

Cheers, Thompson
