Yeah that looks like the way to go. I need to look up his build . Is that a capped off AAN water manifold too?
Lots of interesting little bits. Those custom brackets look nice with the adjustment

I wonder what that would leave me as far as space ? For the other car I built I relocated the oil
Cooler over to the other side and had it stacked in front of my radiator but I really like to leave the radiator the most cold air to it's thing without any other heat exchanger in front of it

I think Craig already has a pattern for URq rockers, as he had to rebuild his.

Somewhere in his build thread he may mention that he found out that the urq rockers have a *very* slight taper to them, so his replacements (bent without a taper) didn't *quite* fit correct. Look out for that, or see if you can find the taper by measuring both ends of your rockers..?

Yeah it seems there is a very slight bend on one portion which would either be a bunch of very small tweaks with the brake , or something . That was my first try at just getting an idea of it . I've never used a brake and probably should look at the YouTube . I was trying to get an idea of which order to do the bends in and not get stuck (failed!)

Fuel rail. But need to get fittings for in and out to adapt to 6AN . I don't recall on these what the Inlet size is ... anyone know?
Also the threads on one end appear to knocked down - is this an issue or would the piece threading in form the aluminum a little ? I'm worried if alum-alum it would Gall. Any thoughts?

The larger intercooler looks like the one I'm running on my B3. Had to make some serious room behind the bumper to fit it in there! I also had to weld on some cast tight 90°s to clear other things. Hopefully it fits a little easier on this.

So to get the larger one to work, I'd have to at a minimum, 1) cut and modify the upper core support piece and 2) chop off the Inlet and outlet and rotate them so they face the rear

That's basically what I had to do.

For my next setup, I want to make a custom cross member with the boost piping integrated in it.

Exhaust is almost finished . Just a small piece in the middle where it connects to the rear section.
At this point I only have one muffler in the system. It's going to be tough fitting another one in- may just run with one .
Image
Image
Image

Thinking of moving the V-band into this section here , so the center section will be removable and the exhaust will be 3 pieces . I think after looking at it this location is least likely to rub.
Image

Avantgardes off and ready to be refinished . Will try and clean them up tomorrow with the soda blaster maybe .
Image

This is a good look for the car

On the intercooler I will have to take a look , I know there are various places that sell cores .
For piping I order from a place called Columbia River Mandrel bending and I always receive it within 2-3 days of ordering .
To run the IC in the front I would think you'd be able to fit an absolute maximum of a 2.5 with core but I might recommend shooting for less. I think with 2.5 , check martins thread, but I think he had to move the engine back as far as possible in the mounts.

Started out this morning and tried out the soda blaster. Been wanting to try one for two reasons, one to clean up a large area (Car body, bottom of a car ) , and also Ive been looking for an alternative to the sandblaster to clean up engine parts without the risk of getting contaminants in the engine.
Grabbed my 7A oil pan I had slated for this car.
ImageUntitled by patrick C, on Flickr
Cleaned up decent.
ImageUntitled by patrick C, on Flickr

Unfortunately found an issue while preparing to clean it, it looks like it has been bottomed out and has an actual hole in the oil pan extension.
ImageUntitled by patrick C, on Flickr
ImageUntitled by patrick C, on Flickr
Had to extract all the bolts very carefully
ImageUntitled by patrick C, on Flickr
ImageUntitled by patrick C, on Flickr
Im hoping I can fix this but the issue with welding it is that I am missing a piece of the "valley " that holds the gasket. I think I can put that chunk back in and weld it but may warp this piece and then have a leak.
ImageUntitled by patrick C, on Flickr

Exhaust is close to being finished. Just need to decide what goes in here
ImageUntitled by patrick C, on Flickr

Still thinking I might try and fit something here. Might not be able to fit a muffler but maybe a small sleek resonator or something. Vibrant maybe?
Just want to keep the drone down.

Still have this manifold on my mind - can it support the stock fuel rail, or does it require a custom one?

I think a stock one will work , 3B or AAN? I have multiple AAN rails around I could use to check for you .
Another good choice on the manifold that is probably easier to obtain is the Wagner but not sure if there's much price difference when all is said and done

AAN. The vendor's pictures make this particular manifold attractive to me since they show a stock A/C setup in their S2. I haven't seen any other setups (besides stock ABY rear manifold) that allow you to keep the A/C.

So for now , one muffler only . Well see
How I like it , easy to fix.
Continued the exhaust today.

Quite a few little odd cuts that were really a pain. Wondering if I shouldn't have started with a better way to cut stainless (using a chop saw) or do people just buy pre cut angles like 15, 30?

It appears to not fit ??
But you could do 3B or aftermarket fuel rail.
