Figured I'd share this since the only relevant post I found had no picture.

This re-seal procedure is actually easier than removing the damn thing from the engine bay...

Disassemble steps:
1) Boot
2) Outboard Cap
3) Spline shaft cover (3 bolt)
4) Spline Shaft (hold it in your hand and tap on the rack body)
5) Adjustment Cap (2 bolt)
6) Spring retainer cap and the 2 wedged parts
7) Pull the Rod thru the outboard side.

Seal kit came from these guys:

No special tools needed.

Guess images are worth a 1000 words, in the re-assembly order.

I might need to be doing this in the near future. Stupid newb question, is the b3 rack the same as b4? (90 20v sedan).

there is a difference. an early b3 will be different from b4. a late b3 might be the same. pay close attention to the power steering hard line fitting location on the rack and you can tell the difference.

this is the reason i have an extra reseal kit. i bought the wrong one. fits b4 rack but not 1989 build date b3.

Gotcha. Mine is an 02/90 build date. Still have to get the toe in fixed on the rear so I can drive it home, then I'll look into it!
