Can you tell me a bit about the plug wires.... aka the specs on them? I know there Magnecor with Honda/Mitsubishi plug booties.

800hp on a distributor ignition system?! i was under the impression this was basically impossible because of the poor stability of the timing signal from the timing belt, cams, chain, etc....

You can run crank based timing through a distributor, so accuracy isn't as much a problem. The biggest problem then is spark hop to the next post, which is common on high output 5cyl dizzy motors due to the close proximity of the towers. Add that to the lost spark energy by jumping two gaps, and it's a lot more hassle to try to make big power through a distributor.

There's so many easy solutions these days for distributorless ignitions.
