well that didnt work. 2bennnett said they have the glass for $129 each side new. lol i would have to sell the car to pay that price.

when you contact ups tell the only part of the package was damaged. only ask for replacement of the damaged lens.

for those of you following this thread, I just wanted to post that Corey and I have spoken on the phone several times regarding this UPS error....and just because I haven't posted online doesn't mean I'm ignoring this situation. I'll post after the situation is resolved with UPS.

I don't think anyone was blaming jon. Shit happens in shipping. ups is to blame.

I think this thread is the reason we DON'T need a seller/buyer feedback section!
Most of us know who's who round here, & I think the n00bs who sighn up from day too day have been recomended to the site from others..sure there are some who "stumble" onto the Geek...but I think all in all we are a trustworthy bunch of folk!
& in my estomation this is the BEST Audi site on the net!

& I agree...Jon's a stand up guy..even with his "nickname" :hide: & NO I won't mention it too anyone..so don't ask :-D

I went through this a few months back with fedex breaking one of the headlights to a fellow MGer... I think they broke the driver's side...

I filed a claim with Fedex and they picked up the package, inspected it and returned it to me I forwarded the $$ they refunded me back to the buyer and then sent him the package back.

It's a royal PITA, and I'm still kinda fighting with fedex that they didn't cover the whole thing... It's like you put fragile on the box and they think "hey, lets see how hard we can throw it before it breaks" :bullshits:

Sorry about that Corey! Yeah, it shouldn't be a problem to use a little super glue on it.

For the rest of you, UPS still refuses to pay. Actually, they are refusing to return my calls all together, and I've actually never spoken to them. :( Also, The letter that they said they were going to send me to declare their "findings" with the damaged goods never arrived either. Go figure.

And id like to sat that the post man with the USPS was very friendly and required a sig. for the package.
Leave it to the Feds when you want something done right.
Bottom line, dont mess with the post office.
