What car is it in, and whats the number?

Its where you would usually find the accelerometer for the ESP system, but doesn't appear to have enough wires for one of those...

it has an arrow pointing forward and its exactly in the middle of the car.i thought it was an inertia switch of some sort so my guess was pretty close :) so i guess i can delete it with no consequence other than abs sensor input???????

i remember somewhere telling you about www.vagcat.com

you know... the ONLINE VERSION OF ETKA THATS FREE FOR ANYONE TO USE

to view diagrams on vagcat,i have to register, which i did and every time i log in,it bumps me back out again.i have a copy of etka but it needs a certain screen resolution to work.any idea why vagcat is not worky for me?

when you log in you cannot hit enter... that will not work, you must click the button with the mouse. Also you should avoid using the back/foward buttons on the browser and use only the menu selections of the website, it doesnt seem to like the back forward buttons.
other then that it works perfectly fine

Then you have ETKA6 (which needed 1280x1024), if you get ETKA 7, you'll be all set, it's smart enought to adjust the images. ;-)

why didnt you put the battery further back into the trunk area, and in a nice battery box? that would worry the shit out of me there sitting right next to it with no vent lines or anything to protect me from it.

its a dry cell, spiral core.nothing to vent.gonna post pics of it when its all done.

those spiral cells arent dry, they are agm. that means they still have a liquid electrolyte but its absorbed into a glass matting. dont be fooled into thinking its as safe as a playskool baby toy, cause it can still leak acid/explode/vent hydrogen.

just keepin you on your toes.

Yes, it only is used by the ABS system. If you are not using ABS, then of course delete it. If you have ABS, you want to keep it.
