NY motorgeek member needs help in Macomb, MI

Any fellow motorgeek members in or near Macomb, MI. My wife just totaled her 2001 Vw Golf. I found one on autotrader in Lakeside Saturn dealership. Talked to a salesman and wanted more detailed pics, said he wouldn't be able to get more pics. I know this is a long shot buit was wondering if someone was close by this dealer and could look at it and give me a fellow VW/Audi owner a true take on this vehicle.... body, paint, interior, big thing is any rust on or under vehicle. If you could take some pics and send them to me that would be a great help. It is a 2001 VW Golf 1.8t auto, black. Would be willing to compensate for your time.

Ugh, its past Detroit. If it was a bit closer to me I would be able to help out. Hopefully somebody closer can assist!

Hey Chris,
It sucks because I was going to be putting parts together to build the block. Now I have to put that on hold because I have to get her a car now and insurance is giving us what I thought.
Did you get the check ok?

Funny, my sister lives in Macomb and I go there often but I don't plan on being there any time soon...

But I am curious why go so far out of way to find a car that's not all that rare?

I think it is a kinda rare golf. It's a 1.8t auto 4 door black on black with a sunroof. Tried a couple of websites and forums, only a couple of these cars come up.

i can go look at it saturday, lakeside saturn is about 20-25 minutes from me, all freeway so it wouldnt be a problem. send me a PM of what you want pictures of and what you need detailed pictures of.

Yes, I did get the check and everything went just fine. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

Sorry to hear that the block building will be put on hold, but it happens to the best of us. My plans recently have been getting screwed as well. Best of luck with finding something though!
