So... he didn't learn from the guy in Japan who did the same thing with his F40?

His only possible defense would be to show how he faked the video. That, or (just thinking out loud) if he got caught speeding while making the video and was acquitted.

I recorded a 175 run in my grey 200 a couple years ago..Didn't post it on yt..didn't record anything but my instrument cluster..
Glad I didn't actually post it, but IDK if I could get into trouble for it since there is no evidence of where I did it..

Should have had a friend or something post it lol. So they can just track IP or something no matter what because...? It's a matter of national security?

Say u have it on a memory stick and go to a buds house, then post it under his username or something...can they still track you down and press charges? I mean I know it's possible or at least seems liek it could be by the right person, but would that hold up in court?

Uh, yeah..... is there really an appropriate response to this? I've posted videos of the truck off-road and might post videos of the car driving a mountain road, but common sense would say 195mph is not a smart idea unless you are on a racetrack or a road in the middle of nowhere so you only kill yourself and maybe some plant-life or something....... like the middle of the desert.

Well there is a 2-mile stretch of interstate nearby with 8ft high walls, and no entrance ramps, three lanes wide. Some ppl go there after midnight when there is no one else on the road..If they crash they only harm themselves..Breaking the law, of course. Endangering others, no, just like if they were on a race course, except there you are usually endangering others..
That corvette guy was on the highway in the middle of the day with lots of other drivers on the road, not cool..

I've heard stories of a Dodge Colt bouncing off of the wall on I-480 at near 200mph while racing a motorcycle.

I also heard about a guy who used to find his RX-7's top speed every day on I-71 or the turnpike, about 10-12 years ago. but he stopped doing stupid things like that anymore. Plus there's too much traffic nowadays.

I knew a guy back east that out-ran a cop on 202 (divided highway with traffic-lights). They clocked him at 198mph!!!!! F**king nuts if you ask me...

They can only get him for reckless driving, maybe. He's obviously FLYING! But there is no evidence of any speed, etc. Not too smart on his behalf. A good enough lawyer could probably get him off if he doesn't have any priors.

Big brother steppin in after a snitch called him out.

I gotta say, that car was freakin' FAST, however!

Didn't you guys read:

Someone saw the video on his now empty YouTube page and called the police. It didn't take long for the Oklahoma City PD to get him to confess to owning the car, speeding, and then posting the video to YouTube.
He's way past claiming this or that or getting a lawyer to defend what he's apparently already confessed to I think.

It reminds me of this time I got passed by a lime green Viper that was flying, and about a mile down the road he was pulled over, then maybe twenty minutes later he flew past, and I caught up to him when he got pulled over again. He passed me again and I never saw him after that. Some people just have a hard time learning their lesson. ;)

If you can afford a lime-green Viper...you can afford to get pulled over every 5 miles.

I'm betting if he Didn't have his name, address, phone number, and mothers maiden name in the for-sale ad...He probably just would have been 1 more anonymous you-tuber.

Part of me wanted to feel bad for the guy at first but after watching the video not so much. He had it coming, especially after bragging the way he did and posting multiple videos like that one on different roads and then putting them in his ebay ad the wrong people are bound to see that. Never thought law enforcement would feel motivated to pursue it but guess I was wrong lol

Keep your ego's on the fucking track. :)

I stopped driving like an idiot a few years ago too, after I realized that even on the most desolate back roads, there is always another car on the road somewhere. Maybe going left of center on a blind turn, maybe stopped in the middle of the road to take a piss, (yes, happened to me once, nearly killed the guy) or maybe someone just going 15-20 mph under the speed limit so they are actually a hazard. (which happens daily pretty much)

There are just too many damn people. Around here anyways. It's not worth it.

The infamous JP LOL..Car did go over 200 verified on GPS, however I have disputed the fact that he hit the wall at 200, the car was probably traveling closer to 100 at the time of impact..I don't believe he would have walked away from a 200mph impact into a concrete barrier wall, cage or not..
There was a certain crowd that used to run on 480 after midnight, but the interstate wasn't totally empty even that late, and there isn't a divider wall between the east/westbound lanes..Cops and helicopters pretty much shut that whole scene down--except that even the choppers couldn't catch the really fast vehicles! So the middle-of-the-road guys and the stragglers would get popped..
The guy in the vid up there should have kept his mouth closed and gotten a lawyer, and the mere fact that he put the vid on his auction shows how ignorant he is..

Yeah, I remember one time coming home from a midnight showing at the AMC theater on Ridge Road and traffic was going 25mph... wtf? Turns out it was a bunch of squids holding traffic back so their buddies could have a clear road to race on.

Later, I encounted the SAME THING on a Saturday evening on I-71 just north of Polaris (Columbus). Which, if you don't know the area, is already a highly congested location at any time of day. I think that time was C5s and GTOs and other toolbags.

(Toolbag is my word of the month, by the way.)

I know here in California if you get caught at anything over 100mph you are more than likely going to jail. 100+ is a felony charge. I can't afford that kind of crap, so for the most part (other than the odd on-ramp blast or something like that) I behave myself, set the cruise at 75 and forget about it.

Back when I was in north central PA the roads were deserted. You had a better chance of hitting a deer on I-80 than hitting another car depending on the time of day. You could pretty much do whatever you wanted and honestly I did, within reason. But even with that ability, you have to have a little common-sense or you will end up dead. Most of the accidents in the area were fatal due to the open roads, excessive speed and most importantly lack of experience with regards to driving.

When I watched the video, the dash looked more like a Camaro...maybe I wasn't paying attention though!
