so sometimes it wants to rev othertimes its like it hits a wall- revs just stop. what the hell could cause this-- no i havent ran the codes- I havent had time to build a tool- replaced o2 with bosch OEM- replaced fan switch,replaced mfts- clean airfilter --- I dont have a manual cause ebay ripped me off- please give some ideas- it cant be serious cause sometimes its fine. :frustrated:

plugs, cap, wires and rotor checked? You could be arching.
"low grade fuel" would not cause this. Bad knock sensor might.

You might need to take a closer, more careful look at the instructions 20v.org. Have you tried the method to blink the CEL?

CEL=Check Engine Light aka a bulb in the dash where the codes flash through. The only point of the led is to take the place of a lack of bulb in the CEL and give the ecu a medium to flash the codes through. Other wise you do the exact same thing with wires to make the ecu give up the info. Doesn't matter whether its through the cel or led.driftninjakilla said:

i had to buy the supplies to make the VAG1115 because i dont have a "CEL" I guess I could tear the guage pod out and put a light in there but i was trying to avoid thatcrappyoldaudis said:
