plugs, cap, wires and rotor checked? You could be arching.
"low grade fuel" would not cause this. Bad knock sensor might.
\every one was telling "check your codes check you codes check your codes" so im just trying to check my codes :) i havent had the cash for a tune up as i just dumped 50 bucks in the gas tank ruling out lowgrade octain idea- i didnt think it could cause it but hey i had to try, on a lighter note at least i have good fuel, but im broke till payday

I know your situation well. But, if you can't eliminate the basics, you are nowhere. Just sayin...

chill broski. We are just trying to help. I agree that you need to check your ignition system.

Hey im gonna order the 2x2 adaptor right now for my Vagcom that way ill be able to scan the codes without having to blink them. If you wait a couple days til it gets here we can scan your car with it. It should be hella lot easier than blinking

Your making this more of a production than it needs to be, its really easy and takes all of about 2 minutes........Here you go straight from the Bentley......

How to get the codes, what they mean, and how to do the output tests

You might need to take a closer, more careful look at the instructions 20v.org. Have you tried the method to blink the CEL?[/quote\] i dont know what a CEL is... i dont have a book

CEL=Check Engine Light aka a bulb in the dash where the codes flash through. The only point of the led is to take the place of a lack of bulb in the CEL and give the ecu a medium to flash the codes through. Other wise you do the exact same thing with wires to make the ecu give up the info. Doesn't matter whether its through the cel or led.
