First post... wish it hasnt been discussed..

Can someone tell me if a 2.8l audi 90 FWD transmission fits on a 2.7t s4 engine? I heard that B5 Passat transmission fits and that 90 have the same power train as B5 Passat.

Thx

Frank

EDIT: In fact I need a FWD trans for my 2.7t engine, let me know what i can do :)

So from a 2.8liter audi 90 the transmission will fit you sure? I use the fly wheel of what transmission? Starter?

I'm currently building a car from scratch. (tubular aluminium)

If you have any info on that setup let me know :-D

I'm planning to install an FWD manual transmission on that engine. So just to confirm if I buy a 90 2.8l transmission, I'll be able to fit it with the 2.7t flywheel? for the clutch? Sorry I'm a bit new to this setup and I found a 2.8l 90 transmission and I just wanna be sure it fits.

If somebody have any infos about that setup, let me know please :)

The transmission should work ince it follows the same dual bolt pattern as all post '89 gearboxes. The flywheel, starter etc combination is up to you.If you use the 2.7TT flywheel then use the 2.7TT starter motor.
Only one way to find out and thats getting your hands dirty.

just to ensure im not suddenly ridiculed, this is NOT me posting this stuff :p and yes the v6 2.8 and the 2.7tt use the same blocks, enjoy it.
