Its has been some time now, but I finally got the engine out of my 1990 90 Quattro and am ready to start rebuilding and cleaning this engine out to start the turbo-ing processes.
The Engine, when done will hopefully go into my 1989 80 Quattro, the body is in better shape and has been taken better care of. No leather, like the 90 had but no big deal. Also the tranny doesn't have problems like the 90 did!!
Engine Day! Got a lot done! Finally starting to look like something. Super stoked. Still have a lot to do though. Feel free to comment! Just some slight mock ups!
Thanks man. Yeah I'm doing the same pretty much. I'm getting the new gaskets soon and the new throttle body. Should be coming together real quick! Would love to see some more pictures from your engine.
Hey Guys,
Its been a while since I have posted on my own thread!
Recent news, My cars spent 11 days in a shop, 5 clutch kits, 3 flex plates, and over $500 later, I only got a pilot bearing and throw out bearing replaced. Uhh it was such a nightmare. I got super stressed and became terrible. It took the shop 3 days to figure out that the first clutch kit that was ordered was wrong, and just continued from there. I grabbed some pictures. Learned that someone had gone in and JB weld'd my throw out bearing together. Still many problems to be fixed, but I am just happy to have my car back.
