Reason for parting?
trans needs second and third gear, when we got it running took it for a ride and it just grinds all day :(

the guy I got it off had it in his driveway not running, I put a fuel pump and radiator in it, cost me $269 for radiator and 169 for pump both have only been in the car for about a mile of driving, then I found the tranny issue. the guy I got it off mentioned he got it at an auction in Dover NH

so thats why it was so familiar
want to part it out and will consider all reasonable offers
aw don't part it. it alreayd has some rally paint and seats.

i saw this car in person and almost picked it up along with mine but the auction came before mine so wasn't sure if i could afford it and mine at the same time.

it went for like 4-500$ if i remember correctly.

01a transmissions are easy to find and can be had for cheap. SOMEBODY SAVE THE RALLY COUPE!

put a price for the whole car?
I bought it for 1000.00 off of a guy that couldn't get it running. I got it running and now I have to move and cant take it with me. I put on new exhaust, fuel pump, fuel filter, and radiator. Im in the car for 1600.00 now. Just looking to get my money back
ouch man he got a deal outta that. sorry to hear.

parting it out won't get you that much seeing there is no interior. that's where a lot of the money is.

Such a shame to part a car just cause of the trans...

Agreed!
Can you send me some more photos of your exhaust? I'd like to mimic the design.
What type of tranny is in my CQ. New to these cars and would love to fix it instead of get rid of it. Thanks guys
Its an 01a 5 speed. Chris Miller has one in his barn in Bolton Ma...and hes willing to sell it for a decent price..
Sure, for sale, fairly close to you too. About 175k miles, worked great. Have a brand new Sachs clutch kit too (pressure plate, friction disk, throwout bearing). Someone save the car! Chris

How much for the trans?
