Who here has ever put there sleds down the 1/4mi?

I just did a few passes in my 'stage 1' 92 urs4 and to be honest, I was a bit surprised by the results:

best 60': 1.957
best 1/4: 14.716

not bad for a car with 277k mi in 92 degree heat and 60% humidity.

Ill post the slips in a bit.

Anyone else have any slips to share?

I last ran my QSW in 2007, it did [email protected] in the 1/4 mile. It was a lowly 10vt.

MC1 block and ported head
Whatever Elgin cam was popular at the time, 260/270 seems to ring a bell
Megasquirt
Stock JT distributor with MC coil
HX-35 turbo @ 21psi
5-2 divided header
Gigantic plenum intake manifold with Crown Vic TB
60Lb/hr high Z injectors
Ebay intercooler core

10vt 200 full weight, HC1/K26 hybrid, Megasquirt fuel/Ben Swann 2+Bar ECU @14psi

With a bad fuel cut, should be easy 13's with it running right (if that ever happens)

went racing again today and the urs4 ran A LOT better. Temps were about 85 degrees with about 25% humidity

Two best runs:

60': 1.911
1/8: 9.084
1/4: 14.182 @ 96.63mph

60': 1.866
1/8: 9.113
1/4: 14.271 @ 95.64mph

only change from the previous best of a 14.7xx was that i was running an open down pipe, so im not totally sure where i picked up .5

Saturday at Waterfest I dragged my car for the first time. Made 2 passes;

14.446 @ 97.57mph 2.298 60ft

14.450 @ 97.08mph 2.120 60ft

This is a 91 coupe quattro with an AAN, stock turbo, @ 12psi 034 IIC tuned for a 3071. Both passes I took it pretty easy as my car was running hot. I feel like a twelve isn't far away if it were a cooler night with a few more psi.

I have only stripped 1 car of mine, an 06 350z with the 300hp motor. Fastest I could get it down was a 15 flat BUT in my defense it had skinny ass rear tires, 225s to be exact when factory had 245s. It couldve probably ran a 14.5 or 14.7 time if I had better traction.

Sad to think a chipped urs4 wouldve beat me lol I thought it was such a fast car.

whats worse is that I was dead even with a 370z all day...

Totally agree, the urs4 was doing 5.5k launches all day and didnt skip a beat 8)

I could barely trap between 90-100mph. I know that is a large difference, but I was more in the moment of driving than paying attention to my traps.

What a lot of people dont realize is the 350z is roughly 4000lbs with an average male adult driver. Base weight is 3850-60 iirc. Add in my 150lbs and its two tons with only 300hp. My audi A6 2.7t weighed less than that and was definitely faster with only a 93oct APR chip.
