I finally got my very own urq! Since the day I turned 16 this was my dream car. 14 years, a wife, and 3 kids later I finally got one! So here's my thread dedicated to its resurrection. This car was all I could afford so its beaten and broken but thats slowly going to change.....

Wow, thanks for the kind comments. All I can say is that if I came home with three more Audi's my wife would seriously kill me. :) Sounds like a nice collection of cars though !

So I've completely messed up this whole car sale thing. First I didn't expect so many people to at least show interest in it. Now I'm scrambling to stay on top of it. But just in case anyone is wondering...

There IS a sale pending and now that the video is posted I'm in the midst of talking to him about what he wants to do. I know there are a few people that would at least like a chance to make a bid on the car but that isn't going to happen unless this current buyer drops out. I've given my word to him and I'd like to keep it that way. If he decides to buy it and you'd like to contact him I can probably set that up. I will keep everyone posted, Thanks, John
Told you it was too good of a deal ;) Hope it all works out, excited to see where it goes!

Hindsight is always 20/20

I even asked a person, who I believe to be the most informed Audi enthusiast, what the value was and he gave me a number above $18,000. He's a good friend so I thought, maybe he's just being nice. Obviously the condition of the car matters but I also think the timing and location do too. I've witnessed some strange auction prices that I couldn't comprehend. Last year the BAT website had, dare I say, too many ur quattro's listed for auction. People started questioning it's rarity because one would come up every month. At the end of the day, my car isn't stock and I hope it never will be again. We have cars like that already. I hope someone on Motorgeek or in our Audi community does something crazy with this car. I'll keep it reasonably priced and hope it stays in the hands of someone not afraid to to drive or modify it. :D

*** I should really proofread before I post. :slap:

Just for fun, thought I'd check in on this thread so the OP knows the car lives on! I currently own this car in Denver, CO and its been living a pretty solid life since leaving the OP's hands. The previous owner had some good times with it; with me Its gone Ice racing on Georgetown lake, and I drive it semi-regularly. Cam position sensor, windshield cracking, and driver side window regulator is the only things that have gone wrong on me in two years. The CPS was fixed quickly and window regulators and windshields unfortunately I think have only ever been a rumor, I don't think they truly exist. Rocking ugly wheels with studs, but still have the TE-37 clones in my shed. Bonus funny story, I was looking through old pics I took at Carlisle and found it in there too... always makes me laugh!
