Okay, I've searched...Maybe I'm too old now, but not finding what I thought was out there.

Is there not a relatively well documented "putting an AAN into a Coupe Quattro" website/thread/tutorial out there? I swear I've read a few over the years, but never bookmarked them. Picking up a URs6 to donate the motor into (formally) Blakes coupe. Looking to cheat and be lazy instead of hours of surfing and searching to see how it's done. Not doing any significant upgrades, just looking to take Stock AAN, wiring harness and ecu and place it into the Coupe quattro so I can get motoring.

yeah, yeah, I should know this (including all the problems one usually encounters)

Hmmm...and if I want to splice in the S6 harness?

the splice isnt too bad. Its not bad once you have both harnesses layed out on the floor. The short version is: unwrap the s6 harness, take everything that runs to the ecu and keep it. Fuse box stuff from s6 goes to coupe fusebox, engine stuff to engine. Then unwrap coupe harness and take everything that runs to ecu and remove it. Then combine the two. Obviously this is oversimplified, but not by much.

Nope, that was exactly what I needed. I mean, once I have the two harnesses apart there will be lots of questions I'm sure, but a basic road map is all I need to get started. Thanks for that.

Excellent explanation. I have wiring phobia.

Think the unwrap/splice method will still work with an NG harness?

Alright back from the dead. FINALLY got an ABY harness from Germany, three months later.

Trying to work the harness in through the 7A hole is proving to be a significant challenge. Am I barking up the wrong tree, or is this doable? Only other thing I can find online is someone who just ran the 3B harness through the A/C grommet.

Any BTDT?
