So, right now, I'm planning on going into the military, and I was talking to a friend about how I was planning on buying a B5 S4 Avant or an S6 Avant after basic, since I'll have some money built up, and he said I should avoid the Audi V6's (any of them, apparently), because they're junk. So I ask you, was this just personal opinion/hear-say? Or are they really not that great?

Has Audi come up with a fix to the B6 3.0L cam issue? Also been hearing a lot about the new TSI FSI/direct injection cars getting carbon fouling.
