To hit all your questions, Android222:

- I believe the conversion to be the same for the '91 20vt, but I have not done that conversion myself. My current PS pump, however, is off a 20v car
- The booster I installed is PN 893612107A, which was used on B2 and B3 chassis cars
- My pressure warning system does not light up. I cannot remember now if I had to jump the sensor wiring, or if the sensor was looking for a connection between those two wires to illuminate a warning

It's been awhile since my last update, and there have been three major projects completed. I do not have much in the way of photos, but they are important:

1) I installed Eibach lowering springs and new Konis on the car. I love them. Photos below.
2) I had a local shop install an 034 LW flywheel, a Southbend Stage 1 clutch, new subframe bushings, and 034 motor and trans mounts
3) I had the local exhaust shop install a 2.5" exhaust. First is a high-flow cat, then a resonator and lastly a Magnaflow out back with a subtle black tip

Needless to say, 1st and 2nd gear pulls are even more entertaining than before :D. And the sound matches the speed - subtle, growly, and pretty fast. These two upgrades alone have transformed the driving experience of the car. So right now I mostly just drive and enjoy it!

Oh and several little fixes, including:
- a rebuild LF axle from Raxles
- a new glove box light
- black interior grab handles and lamps
- a leather handbrake handle from France (that one still needs some massaging)

Thanks 'RS200Q' and 'CaifanSC'. She's still doing well, with the occasional 'Audi Gods' breakdown :p. Just a few nights ago I started smelling coolant while driving. Pulled over and peeked under the hood and saw the coolant tank seam leaking. Will be taking care of that over Christmas break.

(*edits*: it was the coolant reservoir that was leaking not the radiator. That came later.)

Lowering it really set it off and gave it a different look. The Euro headlights, 3 spoke wheel, and vacuum brakes are an awesome conversion. Clean!

Quick update!

I've done so many things to this car in the last year. But I haven't had much time to post updates as I am in school as well. Right now the car is in pieces as it receives a new timing belt, water pump, and radiator. And as we all know, the "while you're in there" list grows when you have old cars apart.

Current status: apart and undrivable

Also, I started shopping for a replacement daily driver a few months back. The old 1993 Audi 90S was getting tired and not worth rebuilding. And as much as I love the old 200TQA, it is not reliable enough for DD duty in a desert climate. So I picked up this 2010 A4 Avant in white and love it!

Hello all! I realize I am overdue on posting progress reports on my 1990 Audi 200 Turbo Quattro Avant, but continue reading and the reason for my silence will become clear. The good news is that I did get the car reassembled and it ran great. After new injectors, a new radiator, timing belt, seals, water pump, lifters, and an intercooler upgrade, the car ran amazing!

But then something happened.

On March 1st, 2017, I was driving the Avant to have lunch with a friend. While waiting at a busy stoplight, the car was rear-ended by someone not paying attention while driving a jacked-up Ford Super Duty. Because of the height of the truck, the impact was taken entirely by the rear quarter panel and hatch. This was the result:

At first, the insurance company wanted to write off the car for a ludicrously low amount. Fortunately, I have receipts for every repair done to the car since my ownership (over nine years). After submitting my repair records, the insurance company finally settled for an amount that didn't completely insult me. However, as there are no more straight lines anywhere in the rear hatch, the car was deemed not repairable. I bought the car back from the insurance company and converted it to a salvage title in order to save all those sweet sweet parts. Now it sits in my backyard broken, sad, and not legal to drive.

Since then my wife has had job instability and I have not been in a place to make a decision on this car. I will likely not repair the car as it will always be a salvage title car. I have contemplated buying another Avant. Or perhaps moving on to another mark for a change. Right now I make sure to drive it around the neighborhood every week or two to keep the fluids moving. And of course, it runs the best it ever has since my ownership :p.

man, that is some messed up junk. Don't get rid of it yet...at least you have time to figure out what to do. Next thing you know, you and the fam are in a better position and you may have a chance to just fix it. If done right, who cares about the salvage title. Let's be honest...these cars are not on the top of the list to accrue $ to the point where salvage title makes a difference.

Thanks CaifanSC, I appreciate it. It might be possible to fix the car by acquiring a donor. The shop I talked to thought they could straighten the rear on a rack, but I think the hatch would always leak as everything is squiggly now. Also, I am not certain the hatch hinges are still straight at the roof area. Or, I could swap over all the nice parts to another chassis.

With the car sitting, and with parts become harder and harder to find, I had to make a decision. I am parting the car and getting out of vintage Audis:

I bought an "emotional support vehicle" project to get me through parting out my beloved "Beast". It's a 1986 Jetta GLI Wolfsburg Edition in grey with the rare grey leather interior. It only has 66k original miles, but also only has 1/2 a clutch! Meet my new project, "50 Shades of Grey" :D.

That's crazy, I didn't even know you could get leather in an MK2. Nice pickup, hope it helps you get through the loss of the 200.

I have a Audi 200 Quattro 1991 manual 20v and need some suspension components like rear driver side hub and front left upper control arm is anything still available?
