behaviour of temp sending units 7a

is anyone aware of the behavior of either temp sending unit on the 7a as far as how it talks to the computer?

one temp sending mounted on the back of the head. it is mounted with a small piece of metal, i assume this transfers the temp to the unit. it has 2 wires.

there is an additional temp sending unit off the water neck that connects to the radiator. it has 3 wires.

can either of these units, if bad, cause no spark from the computer. 2 of the 2 wire sending units i have tested show now resistance on an ohm meter regardless of temp.

Neither will cause a no spark situation.
You can check the function of the temp sensor on the back of the head through the auto climate control diagnostic.
