I sold the Mini and upgraded to a 19 year old Audi! At least it's low mileage with only 134k :p

1991 original 5spd purchased from my friend Cort in Burlington, VT. It's in pretty good shape, but does need a starter, power steering pump, and the center u-joint/carrier bearing to be serviced. Those will come with time. It also needs similar blacking of the ecodes as on my 200.

Best part? The stebro exhaust :D turns lots of heads which then results in confused looks from onlookers as they see an Audi that looks nothing like an A4 drive by. I have had one gentleman who knew what it was come up and talk to me about it and then he started talking about an old 100 he had and how he misses that car and hates the passat 4-motion he picked up.

Other than that, it does shift 1-2 and 3-2 kind of hard... I hope but kind of doubt new fluid will solve the problem but who knows.

On to the pics! Now I have matching pearl money pits. Ooops.

a new happening today - my AC compressor is unresponsive with the climate control and is always partially engaged so that it makes this wonderful metal on metal sound. Guess it's time for a new one of those..

Casey be warned, All of the listings I have found for the denso unit, are listed wrong for our cars. They are listed as a single groove, as opposed to a 6 groove. The units themselves are actually correct, but the clutch that comes bolted to them is wrong. Your compressor is probably fine, and you your probably low on refrigerant. The your clutch may just need to be shimmed (also no big deal, though you will have to pull it out to do this.

In my case, I was able to match up a ford clutch we had on the shelft. I had to make and adapter harness for the coil, but that was no big deal. The clutch is about 1/4 larger in diameter, so it turns a touch slower....but cools just fine at any given speed. Just fyi, I went with 900 grams of 134a, and 4oz of pag 46. I pulled vacuum for about 30 min, then filled....works great now
Nice score Casey! :woowoo:

Don't mind him, he is having V8 withdrawal.....sometimes it gets real bad. Whats important is that Ron has our (v8 owners) support during this tough transition. :p

Casey, awesome car! I was just thinking today about how much I like having something with displacement even if its not turbo'd yet... I have to kinda beat on and work for it in my 10vT 200... especially with the K26, but the 3.5 bimmer is a torque monster, the V8 im sure is the same story.

Not so awesome start to the project thread, wtf is wrong with people?
This is amusing.

Awesome car. I want one. I was considering it, but now that I have the 90 I think I'm going to get my V8 fix that way.
