I sold the Mini and upgraded to a 19 year old Audi! At least it's low mileage with only 134k :p

1991 original 5spd purchased from my friend Cort in Burlington, VT. It's in pretty good shape, but does need a starter, power steering pump, and the center u-joint/carrier bearing to be serviced. Those will come with time. It also needs similar blacking of the ecodes as on my 200.

Best part? The stebro exhaust :D turns lots of heads which then results in confused looks from onlookers as they see an Audi that looks nothing like an A4 drive by. I have had one gentleman who knew what it was come up and talk to me about it and then he started talking about an old 100 he had and how he misses that car and hates the passat 4-motion he picked up.

Other than that, it does shift 1-2 and 3-2 kind of hard... I hope but kind of doubt new fluid will solve the problem but who knows.

On to the pics! Now I have matching pearl money pits. Ooops.

PAAAAAAAAAAAAAARTS!

What's the gasket for all the way to the right? Oil pan? Which plug wires did you go with? And what's that little Bosch box for :)?
Magnecor wires, have them for my coupe figured I'd do it for this as well. Little Bosch box is pressure sender , distributor o rings up top left and yes both upper and lower oil pan gaskets though I probably won't be doing that til my next oil change is due. I'm slowly gathering parts that could need replacement/ adding small things to get that minimum amount for free shipping ;)

Pleased to see how clean the head looks from under the VC. Everything went much smoother than expected. New plugs , wires , FPR , Cap / rotors , VC gasket just for today. Next weekend I'll get the AC functioning, just awaiting the compressor to arrive

Full speed ahead with this, want to enjoy it as much as I can before I put her away for the winter

The coupe is alpine white, so it's slightly different than the pearl.

Progress on the v8 continues . Replaced the shot ac compressor clutch, was really really botched. Very tedious process , had to use air chisel to split the nut off then had to re thread the shaft for the clutch, but after all it is complete , together and operating. Have to replace an o ring on the front line to the condenser and I'll be able to have a/c just in time for winter

Resurrection of this thread. I've been without the car for quite some time (almost 2 years) due to it being backed into and the front end crushed in. Fast forward to now, Lo and behold, it's back, buttoned up and fresh new paint all around. Can't wait to enjoy it before full winter sets in.

Brought her home today, trying to work out some gremlins of course. I haven't driven the car in close to two years so I figured there would be problems.

Lights are a sure fix. The headlight wiring was messed up upon re assembly, and I'm blindly putting wires to pins in hopes to narrow what goes where.

Somehow in the mix of messing with the headlight wiring, I lost half the driver side tails, not sure if it was coincidental, or if the wiring is linked? ( I dont have a bentley for the v8 so no wiring diagrams.) Turn signal works on driver side but no rear markers.

Figure out a crank no start issue when the car is hot.. (Crank or cam position sensor, or perhaps a coolant temp sensor?)

Could use new plugs for sure, have to find what the oem were as well as gapping.
Bringing this thread back mainly before I put the car elsewhere, looking to part ways with this. Love this car, but needing to thin the herd due to lack of space, time, and moving onto bigger life things. If interested shoot me a message and we can discuss further

Cheers,

Mike
