I didn't start this idea but figured I'd create the topic so discussion can be started on specifics. I should be there whenever a consensus is reached on a time/date.

What he said, I'll try to be there once the date gets hammered out, and provided the 90tq is back in operation. 8)

Sunday 10/26 2:00pm

10/26 prolly works fine for me, the 19th is our last autox for our local club, so I'll definitely be making that.

The 26th works for me as well, I'll JUST be getting back from a week in vegas on the 25th. So I guess that means somebody might have to pick up my tab :D

OK, my bad. Where is John Harvards in Framingham, MA?

It's a 5 hour drive. Just a small road trip. There's potential though, if it's on a Saturday.

Cheers,
Brady

For those coming into town, it is in the north-western most corner of "shoppers world". (a large shopping center with bestbuy, toys'r'us... on Rte9 there is an Olive Garden and a Barnes & Nobel; on Rte 30 there is a Target on the north and the center on the south.) Its about a half mile west of the Natick Mall.

Hope to see you all there

Well, Alex Van Gerbig posted this to the list:

Alexander van Gerbig said:
Howdy folks! Some of you long time listers may remember me and other
newer folks may not. I am here to announce there will be a general Audi/VW
meet in Waitsfield, VT in conjunction with DubsNorth
(http://www.dubsnorth.com) on the 26th. I am happily organizing the event
and attempting to promote so we can have one last great event before the
snow flies up here. With the cancellation of Mt Washington we lost a great
time to meet up, this may just be the opportunity to come out and have a
good time with other listers, plus other Audi and VW owners. The DubsNorth
folks are a great group and always put on a good show, unfortunate about
their lack of quattro;)

At the moment details are not 100%, but it appears that it will be
mid-morning to noon start time, some time to line cars up and organize the
crowd, a BYO BBQ lunch (there is a Shaw's directly down the road from the
event location for supplies, grille(s) provided), some time to digest and
enjoy each other's company, and finally a group drive up the infamous Rt17
(AppGap) for a dusk photo opportunity at the top hopefully.

I would like to know what the interest levels are with folks on the
list. If you are interested in attending please pop me a direct email at
[email protected] with the subject: Audi/VW GTG. There will surely be a
website with information when all details are set, expect this shortly.
Hopefully we can out number the VW's and we can all see some long lost
friends. I do miss MtW and the chance to get together with the list crowd,
so let's see if we can't get some folks to come out!

Thank you,

Alexander van Gerbig

And it seems like things are fairly well set for that event. Would the John Harvards folks be inclined to head North a bit? I probably will.

I'm game to try some kind of gathering! Maybe both if the dates works for that weekend.

It's been to long since a last meet.

Some people have expressed interest in the Gathering in Vermont well I'd like to go as well. I just seen Alex on Sunday picked up a spair motor I had from a V8 he's going to drop in his 90 90q 20V should be something to see when completed.
What do others think about pushing the date back or forward or leaving as is & forgete the Vermont gathering.
If many of the people that have comited still want the 26th then I'll go ahead and make reservations with the Reasterant for a 2PM start to the food ordering & saie we meet between 12 & 1PM to look at cars before lunch.
Thanks
Ron

As far as I know I'll still be dragging the homely 90tq to VT for that gathering, unless there is a large turnout for the 26th in MA that can't get up to VT.

Yup, looks like John Harvards will wait for a later date. See some of you in VT this Sunday maybe!

Mark, shoot me an email if you want to head over in a micro group or sumtin. I'll probably be leaving here around 6-6:30 in the mornin. The gathering is going to start there around 10 from the looks of it. Anyone else from the Maine/NH area is free to join up somewhere!
