Just thought I would see what you guys think...
I am getting ready to install coilovers in my coupe, used.
Current spring rates are 350F / 325R .
My thought process is why not put stiffer springs in the rear since these
Cars are so prone to understeer. I do alot of street driving in the rain and alot
Of driving in the snow so I want the proper balance.
I had a 4000 Quattro with 400 front 425 rear and the handling was awesome- felt really balanced.

those rates should be good if you get rid of the front sway bar, see how it goes like that and maybe add a small to medium size sway in the back if you think that you need it. i think that would be better than starting by swapping springs.

Those rates are fine, but if you're looking to improve the balance go stiffer on the rear, not down on the front. As-is, be careful where you set the ride height. A 2-3 finger gap is about as low as you can go on those spring rates without having issues with bottoming the struts.
