Hi guys.
I'm in the process of figuring out the coolant hose setup and radiator setup on the v8 conversion. I've got the radiator setup that I think I want and I found a decent lower hose setup that works with the engine and the radiator. Now I have to splice two hoses together. Samco hose sells some hose joiners which is temping to get but to make it permanent I was thinking of using a hose joiner with a heat shrink tubing heated over the joint.
I think it should work but does anyone else see any potential problems with using heat shrink turbing on coolant hose?
I'm looking at Mcmaster right now and they make heat shrink fabric sleeving which looks perfect for what I'm thinking about doing?
Shrink Ratio: 2 to 1
Shrink Temperature: 230° F
Temperature Range: -40° to +257° F
