You'll find the start of this conversation below.... Anyways, I've always had alot of respect for the Chrysler 2.2 and 2.5 turbo motors, as they can handle a ton of boost and seem for the most part, in my experiences to be pretty stout and bulletproof even at high boost.

All use cast pistons :eek:

I never knew that! Now I feel better being stuck with them for now.

Sure, I believe it, I think most people have the wrong impression about forged vs. cast, but no question, a forged will hold up to a lot more abuse than a cast, generally speaking. But it is realistic to think that a cast piston could be designed more stoutly than a forged piece, its all in the design (assuming totally different dimensions and designs). But knowing Audi/VW apps, I'd say stick to that 12psi limit.
