So I've always been a VW driver (just sold a 2000 Passat GLX 4Motion V6), but I've always wanted an Audi but could never find one in good shape that I liked. I recently found that a family friend of mine has had a 1999.5 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro that has been babied all it's life, and just had all the steering components replaced. Also came with a set of winter tires on stock Audi rims, and a set of 17" summers on some nice motegi rims. 230,000 kilometers on the engine, it seems to be in perfect condition despite, tranny is still smooth as heck. I immediately jumped on it and found myself paying a heck of a lot less then they go for locally!). I am in love with the car already, and definitely plan to do some work to it!
Still doing some research on what to do to it, and saving a few pennies, so it's gonna be stock for a month or two Any advice is well taken!
Hope you guys like it!
I have about a $4000 budget to get it fun... Can it be done? Sounds a bit like the stock throw out bearings are on the way out as well, was considering a new clutch.
Any build advice is more then appreciated! Im pretty new to turbochargers and inline 4's, I had played with V6 ATQ's for a wile before.
