I feel much better now...its like a big peace of steel go out from my chest... Martin, You are a great guy and I am sorry so much that I cant finish that job for You. Now Audi is in a better place with guys who take care of that car.
Still there... the car is found but a some of the parts were missing or broken.. like the impossible to find replacement timing belt covers.
The engine has been cleaned and new belt/seals etc installed.
7A oil pan installed...
Major update.
After all these years the engine is finally in the engine bay
Engine way was stripped, battery box removed and then the bay was painted
New plastic fuel lines were also ran.
More updates to follow!
It will be great to see you get another one of these up and running. Do you have any interest in an (almost) new turbo for one of these engines? I have one, but it won't clear the oil filter housing on my DE (2.0 TD) engine.
holy smokes...the first post on this was like 7 years ago...talk about commitment! still pretty excited to see this finished - I`m bringing my B4 Avant out of hibernation this year too - perhaps we'll meet at a show somewhere in the region...
Tiny bit of an update.
Going with the serpentine belt setup on the 80q as opposed to the V-belt on the 90q.
Will make installing an A/C compressor a bit easier.
