rear (hard) brake line needs some TLC

Hi everyone.

Today I went to change my rear brake hoses on a
90 200TQ Avant and of course one side, the hard brake
line fitting was all rusted so, I guess everyone knows what's
coming next. Yup, I broke the hard line. it's the passenger
side(longest one of course).

Anyone an idea what they cost at the stealership?
Any other sources that might have them besides dealership?

all info greatly appreciated

Oh the fun of breaked brake lines..! :frustrated:

Not all that uncommon to happen, if the rubber to hard line is really rusted..

Probably the easiest way to deal with that is find out the length of the hard line you need (the audi parts master often mentions line length), and go to your local parts store, and get a premade line (already flared, with the metric fitttings already on) that's a bit longer than the line you need.

Don't worry about that "bit longer", as you can easily waste some 'distance' when installing (hard to stretch a bit longer though.. :-( ).

In my mind, premade is well worth the price, as it means you don't have to screw around trying to flare tubing..!
