Hi all,
I have seen some people using the a knock sensor light from a Saab.
What parts and from what cars did these come from?
Also can this be used for further tunig directly into the 034efi unit?
Thanks in advance,
Todd

Hey Todd, the APC units seems to work really well on the I5 motor (acoustically, etc), we use it as a tuning aid for feedback on engine knock, etc. There is no input into the ECU for compensating based on the output of the APC, but you can use it like you would an a/f ratio gauge for tuning fuel mixtures.

Ahh yes, you need the brain and the knock sensor mainly, and the ECU connector helps too, but other than that its an RPM signal, power, ground, the knock sensor, etc.

These came off Saab turbos in the Early 90's, but maybe someone can expand on that.

Supposedly on the original car they removed timing then boost when it detected knock.
Has anyone investigated useing this for boost controll?
