I'm going to be replacing my oem O2 sensor on my 200 with a generic 4-wire one. I have read that attaching the grey wire to the intake manifold will provide an additional ground and give me an additional 1-2 mpg. I have been looking at the Bosch 15729 and Bosch 15733. Does anyone know if there is any difference between the two? Is one better than the other for any particular reason? The two sensors look identical in the pictures I have seen.

On a different note, I really can't even imagine owning this car without this forum. The wealth of knowledge and experience on these old school Audis is immense! TIA!

Thanks for your feedback, Austin. In your experience did mpg increase with changing from a 3 wire to 4 wire O2 sensor? Thanks!

Sure you should pick-up at least 1 more mpg if everything else is in order.
