Will a stock fuel pump for an NG motor support an ABZ?

Find the part number of your fuel pump and check the flowrate, but I'd say it should be sufficient.
Audi uses the same FP in nearly all the older chassis'

True, but they were all CIS motors. Pressure is most important there, but flow rate is king when it comes to big displacement efi...

You have a point about flow, there shouldnt be a problem with flow rate at the 3-4 bar you will be running on the v8.

I'm running stock coupe 7a fuel pump in mine. Has been fine for me.
