My apologies for asking a questions that’s been asked. I was tempted to respond to older threads but don’t want to get in trouble for resurrecting zombies.

I’m looking at updating my 95 S6. I want to firm things up as best as I can to get rid of the soft sloppy feel. I’ve got a few options. H&R 29921 is the sport suspension. Is this the dreaded reverse rake suspension?

29771 Race. This says 1.5 inch drop but I’ve seen on other cars the race springs can be known to drop more than advertised.

29800 are the 200 20v springs which I hear folks have used. My concern is spring rate. I thought the 200s were a fair amount lighter than the S6 so do these have a lower spring rate?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve read through old posts but many of the links are dead and want to make sure I have up to date info. Thanks very much in advance!

I made a post there but crickets so far. Hopefully can find someone with firsthand experience that’s ordered these relatively recently.

I used the 29800 on my V8, the ride height was nice and quite stiff. I never had a problem but the guy I sold it to called to tell me how one of the rears broke on the highway when he moved onto the shoulder to allow a wide load to pass and he was on the rumble strips for a few seconds. I have Eibachs on my S6, they didn't lower it as much but with Koni adjustables I like em.
Just to Explain the comparison The V8 and C4 S6 are nearly the same weight and the 200 20V is about 600 lbs lighter. The drop on my V8 was under 2 inches and looked really good, I had the car for 3 yrs before selling and the buyer had it about a year before the spring broke. If you went with the springs spec'd for the C4 the lifespan should be better.
