Someone said to keep making parts, so here goes. :-)

First, I've had a broken Grille Clip for ages, and finally designed a copy. Have not made yet but is a pretty close copy.

Next is an idea I've been playing with for a while. I always thought that the area on top of the steering column would be a good spot for extra gauges, but to simply put on top of the existing cover obstructs the OEM gauges too much. There is actually plenty of dead space under the cover, so I decided to make a gauge pod that replaces the original cover. There are 3 files. One for the OEM steering wheel, one that offers deeper gauge pods but requires an aftermarket Hub (like MOMO), and then the bare replica steering column cover if you want to play with it on your own. I have not made this either but think all the measurements are fairly close.

Nice move on the gauge pod, reminds me of the Podi dual pods. Will be interesting to see the final product installed.

Funny, I had never heard of those before. Heh.

I got some time on a 3D printer, and made some prints.

The grille clips work well.

The Gauge pod came out with defects along the top. I have determined that I probably misaligned the concentric cylinders when modeling the pod and the top was too thin for the printer to make, but it still looks solid in the 3D model. Files on thingiverse have been updated. Alignment tweaked a little bit. The front is rough because of how I printed it (vertically with the face of the pod at the base) and this is where supports were placed. I plan to fill with body filler and sand/paint.

Overall I'm very pleased, there is plenty of space for normal sized gauges, and the factory instruments are not obstructed too bad.

The oil filler funnel is available.

However the ur quattro bumper plugs are not.
Would you be able to take a look at those?
Im very sure, it would sell like hot candy.

Great idea!! Only problem I don't have an original to model from, or even any good detailed photos. Anyone able to get some detailed photos with measurements?

ahh, though you are making the parts, not just the model.

one (front or rear) is done, available but the other one is very difficult to make.
I will get a few pictures, measurement

That looks awesome! I may have to get a friend of mine to print one for me. I have my boost and wideband in vent pods currently. I think this would be better.

Thanks. Let me know how it turns out. FYI for me it was a 17hr print and took a little over 200grams of filament. I used PLA+

I would be in for a set of b2 bumper plugs if we can get some measurements or something to work off of. They would seriously sell like hot cakes lol.

Would love to take a stab and modeling a replica of these. Problem is getting my hands on some originals to get measurements off of. Just need one front and one rear. Anyone have ones to loan me? Since I don't have a B2 I don't have any need to keep and would send back super quick. Scout's Honor.

I've got a few B2 bumpers around, would be happy to lend the parts if I have them, but not sure what plugs you guys are referencing?

I have a good design for the front bumper plugs. I can send you 8 of them for $20 if you are interested. I am still working on the rears. It's a much harder design.
