With the water manifold for the 3B being NLA from Audi, used ones pitted to hell, and my taking up a residency at Swoopbuilt...
Whom would be interested in a group buy?
These will be welded aluminum pipe with machined ports for the turbo water source and sensors, CNC flanges, and made to accept factory o-rings and gaskets.
Obviously I'd like to keep it was inexpensive as possible and make one for myself, but mind you when this was available it was $250 I think. It's dependent on interest numbers and also about helping the community making a part that's impossible to find (need one myself).
Ballpark currently, I'd say $250-300 range, lots of time to copy the originals build a jig, lot of machining both lathe (fitting bungs and o-ring ports) and mill (triangular flange recess for gasket) to make the pieces, welding, pressure testing it, and then there's material (the cast aluminum 90 degree are like 40 buck each).
-- What kind of quantities would you need to see to do an initial batch?
-- If you need one to copy I have a good one. Shoot me a PM if you want to talk about that some more.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you for offering your water manifold to be borrowed. That's what this community is about! But I may or may not have been holding onto payment condition spare for in case mine ever took a poop.
As for a number of committed individuals that would be not only interested but appreciative of the time required to make a fixture, gather all the material, and start making these things... I'd like to have, not see (put your money where your mouth is and not say you want one and bail after I have bought materials and committed myself to the project), 10-15.
I just got my AAN in last week and I'm swapping it into a B3, so I was already going to need a 3B water manifold. I would take a brand new one over an old dirty pitted one any day of the year. The swap will probably take a year or two (maybe more) because I'm currently in school, so you can count on me as one of those 10-15 people who will certainly buy one when the time comes around and the product is ready for sale. Even if I perform a miracle and get the swap done before you have these manifolds ready, I'll still buy one; I'm a sucker for shiny new parts especially when the price is affordable.
I'm in. I think the RS2 has a bigger outlet then the 3B's. Or am I mistaken? 2nd. I have a V8q 40mm thermostat housing on my AAN. Any chance I can get a water manifold with a 40mm outlet?

I believe the water manifold outlet is the same for the AAN, 3B, Ans RS2 variations at 1-1/4".
The water manifold goes from the cylinder head to the top of the radiator, so why the need for a larger discharge?
Any custom variations, be it AN fittings or larger discharge pipe, will be an addition to the price for the manifold replicated to to fit as the original. Extra time and material will be required and these modifications will be made to ones reproduced (as they're being made in a jig).
If you take a look at the picture, you can see it was an AAN water manifold originally. I cut the front flange off, and moved it back, same location as the 3B
It works, but it has a larger diameter, so the stock hose wont work. Will need a reducer.
Just to clarify a little better I would like an 1 1/2" outlet hoping to clear a Wagner I.M.
