I need to find a buyer for my old worn out Audi. I bought this car from it's second owner. The original owner purchased the car in Germany and had Exotic Car Inc. import and federalize it. Vin #WAUZZZ44ZFAO28970 It is only a 10 valve motor. The original euro front was damaged in a ice racing incident and I replaced it with a USA. It came with combination plaid cloth and leather seats. This was the finest Audi money could buy in its day! I have replaced many parts through my years of ownership. I wanted a AWD car I could horse around to learn extreme driving control without smashing a new WRX. The car found its favorite home out ice racing on frozen lakes in upstate NY. Top finishes were placed in the last 8 years. Then it competed against the best Northeast Rally cars in a snow racing timed event at Monticello Motor Club last winter were it finished 1st overall! I smashed and flew over a hale bail barrier to accomplish the feat driving this beater Audi to a record finish! I have the car registered on the road now but alas the beast is battered and way passed her prime...Comes with a 6 point roll bar/cage and extra wheels. The car is in bad need of front wheel bearings and God knows what else. The interior is gutted and the cheap plastic fuel tank was installed in the trunk because the original rusted and leaked. It has shorter gearing than a USA model and is faster than a WRX. Car located in Connecticut. Looking for a offer and hope it would go to a Audi fan.

Euro spec, short gearing, lighter car, open 2.5" exhaust. I just registered the car and can't believe how well it steers and balances through corners after all the abuse I have put her through!

What engine code is this? When I went to my very first Audi meet in Kalamazoo, Michigan YEARS ago there was an 85 200 Avant there, simply amazing to see it. Seeing this sedan really takes me back. Very cool piece.

Hoping for anything near $1000. I spent $1200 just on the roll cage. I also have 2 sets (8) stock 15 " wheels and a brand new set of Haka 2 studded ice racing tires (longer #12 studs). I would want extra for the tires and wheels. The car is in rough shape but it is a rare euro gray market import that kicks ass against new cars. I should buy a set of new street tires and drive it in the rain at a Audi driving event at Lime Rock. Watch the faces of S4 drivers when I slide passed them with full opposite lock! Racing the car on ice turned this big sled into a ballerina. With the diff control set at full lock and the ABS switch off this car is very fast on ice and snow. Never use ABS in the rain or snow! When I finally raced my Evo 8 on ice it was laughable how easy it was compared to my Audi beast. The skill required to win ice races with my Audi has made racing anything else seem tame.
The euro speedometer face was replaced with a USA (miles) but the speedo ran faster because it reads kilometers. It stopped working at 230,000 km.

It looks like an MC-1 motor, I can just make out the single knock sensor, but I think in Europe it was called a 1B or 2B. It "should" have the single pass intercooler. But they also has a higher boost limit, something like 1.8bar stock with the fuel cutoff happening at 2.0 IIRC.

Not hard to do, depending on the WRX.

I would rather keep the wheels to offer with the car until it is sold. It's too bad I broke the euro front bumper and head lights. The USA headlamps are terrible compared to the original and the car looked funky with the short euro bumper and strange headlamp design.

Attempting to drive this old Audi to Lime Rock Park today to see the Continental Challenge races. Still for sale. best offer over $500. A great car to beat up Subaru's at rally cross events.

I made it to the Lime rock races and parked it in the Audi corral next to all the shiny new models. Ha Ha some day they will be old too. She made the 3 hr.round trip successfully. I really wish I could save it. The performance is still impressive when you push it hard late brake and corner with the worn out Nokian WR tires howling for mercy !I am not a Audi mechanic and I don't have 25K to restore it I wish it could have one final day to live like the 24hour Lemons race! On a side note at the Saturday races the APR Audi finished back in the field and was not a contender with the leading BMW Ford and Chevy teams. The BMW Turner drivers Auberlen and Hand were fantastic and the lynch pin to the teams success.
