Does it share the relay with the turn signals? hope not, as they work fine... took the switch apart and cleaned the contacts (which looked fine) but didnt help.. If there's a separate relay for them I cant find it.. Suggestions? thanks

Nevermind, just found it on etka, looks like they share the same one. wonder wth the problem is then.. guess i'll try swapping it out with a spare for starters despite the turns working fine..

So I swapped in two different spare used relays I had, and it made no difference. I'm pretty stumped now as the switch innards are very simple and in prefect shape. Only other thing i can think of is possibly something in the turn stalk switch, because when the turn signals are on and I put on the hazard switch they turns go off and stop blinking, And Bentley shows the wiring diagram for them together as one despite them physically being a separate part of the stalk unit. Im not not super proficient at wiring diagrams but if anyone has any thoughts let me know.. Attachment:

I had the same problem on a 90 20v and it was a fuse with a bad contact. I bent the fuse blades slightly in different directions an it magically worked. May be worth a try. They both have similar fuse boxes I believe.

I looked at the wiring diagrams. Here's my read
The flasher relay gets power in via terminal 1/49 which is fed from terminal 49 on the turn signal switch/emergency flasher switch.
With the emergency flasher off, power for this is from track 153, which is from Fuse 15 via a connection on the wiper/washer switch. This is ultimately off of the load-reduction relay.
With the emergency flasher on, power for terminal 49 is directly from Fuse 2, off battery power.
Since your turn signals work, that means that you are either not getting power at terminal 30a of the emergency flasher switch, or that internally the switch is not completing the circuit to each of the turn signals. My bet is on no power at 30a. If the fuse is intact then check continuity of the R/Bl wire.

Awesome, thanks for breaking that down for me Jonas. I did already check fuse 2 and it was fine, so I'll check to see if im getting power terminal 30a and if not check the continuity of the wire.. Will also double check the connections at the fuse blades, is worth a shot. Thanks a lot!

So.. I had 12v at terminal 30a, so figured it must be a connection within the turn switch (which is the portion of the stalk switches you can't really disassemble from what I could see) so I was going to try and find a used one somewhere, but before I left the shop i figured for the heck of it Id try checking the connection at fuse 2 like 20v90q suggested. I cleaned the blades of the fuse and bent them slightly, and sure enough they started working again! I still can't wrap my head around the logic of that but it did work! After that I think im gonna replace or clean all the fuses and maybe use some contact cleaner in there. Thanks for the suggestions
