Exactly there are euro early S8 avus wheels that use a totally different cap basically just an 18" version of S2 and urS6 avus wheels. See pic.

Sorry I have been so MIA. The house projects (two houses, ugh) and saving up for a new garage has kept this man down. On my D3 I run D2 S8 wheels for winter but I never had the center caps for them. While I do have D2 S8 wheels on my coupe, I cannot get to them currently and would love to get the part numbers. On ebay many people seem to list them the same (S4, S6, S8) but since the B5s are 17s and the S8s are 18s, I am skeptical. Please advise, |

I assume you mean the avus wheels? Etka says same pn# for b5 s4, c5 s6 and d2 s8 8D0601165E |

You have two different S8 Avus wheels. The early S8, which we did not get in the states, came with an Avus wheel similar to the UrS4/6, just in 18in instead of 16in. With the D2 40V facelift, there came a series 2 Avus wheel. It was the same design as the B5S4 and C4S6. Just in 18. The caps are not interchangeable between the early and late Avus wheels. All the caps for the series 2 Avus wheels are interchangeable. Greg W. |

I always like those early Avus wheels a little more than the later ones. I just wish they had make a 17" one. Greg W. |

Those are B6 S4 wheels, which are basically a 'Series 3' Avus. Series 2 (B5 S4, Late D2 S8, and C5 S6) center caps should interchange. |

Still made by Ronal I believe like the Seires 2, but design was different thus I called them the Series 3. The Early Series 1 were made by Speedline IIRC. |
