Im only getting 'jet engine speed' out of my fan currently and have narrowed it down to the resistor after checking temp sensor/relays/resistor ohms. Is there another easy option for the NLA resistor pack 447959493B? there's one on ebay for near $150 which seems crazy since its just a couple resistors..

If you cannot find a good resistor you could try a fan speed controller from a newer Audi,
I posted what I did for my RS2 fan in my Coupe in this thread

Very interesting, thanks. The resistor that's dead on mine is the low speed one though.. I didnt re-read it too close yet, but could i make it work as a full 3 speed as opposed to keeping the lowest speed on a resistor?

I don't know, It is possible the after run coolant temp sensor may let it run on low speed along with the after run pump ?, I did not check it when I wired mine up as I had the original after run fan resistor.
I may have to check that next time I am working on it ...
