Sorry it took a few days but I was elbow deep in 2.7t flex pipe replacement (down pipe removal is a pain in the B5 S4!), I pulled a rotor before putting the car back on the ground:
Rotor Thickness (~1-2000 km of use): 29.8mm Hub side of rotor to inside disk face: 46.4mm Hub thickness: ~7.35 Disk diameter: 320mm
Let me know if that helps or if you need any other specific measurements.
For the carpets, second what DE80q said, you can get industrial carpet cleaner at Home Depot etc and use hot water, should get most of the dirt out.

I was just doing a little cleaning before putting the front end / brakes back on. The front calliper’s had horrid brake dust baked on. I tried numerous methods, Magyars brake dust rim cleaner, brake clean, engine degreaser, varsol and finally a pressure washer. It was better but still not very good. So I checked with one of the local shops and he said the only thing that he knew for sure that would work was Sonax Wheel Cleaner. I have to say it was unbelievable. Half the effort from the day before. Fantastic results, if there other products work 1/2 as well I’m sold. Spray on, let soak a little scrubbing and washed a few time with water through the process. Before During cleaning I may give one more spray and soak but super pleased with the results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Finally getting back to some work on the car, I’ve been travelling a ton for work and trying to get some family time so haven’t done a thing... I wish I had given a little more thought to doing the rear subframe bushings earlier, I should have waited until I dropped it out. I initially was planning on doing the rear end bushings with the frame in the car but figured it will be easier to do everything with the frame out.... I think I’ll seam weld up the sub frame while it is out... for anyone that has done it any concerns with warping if it’s not bolted in car? Way easier on a bench... Nice work! I'll be in bushing land soon myself. And I like that Keinzle head unit. Where did you buy yours?

Summers over, back to work. Rear subframe and suspension refurbishing. While that’s drying doing some mock-up for placing fuel regulator and filter. Then I realized that I left the strut tower brace at work... can’t really place anything until I can make sure I have clearance. Find something else maybe make my ECU bracket... jbrentd wrote: What coating are you using on the suspension and subframe? using Por15. It holds up very well, you do t have to get the metal perfect. I’ve just been using a flapper disc on bad spots , POR metal degreaser and the metal prep followed by two coats. Once fully cured you can take a hammer to it, needs a fairly significant dent for it to lift off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Anyone have thoughts on the phenolic intake spacer. Looking at it last night and really don’t like how it sits. Looks to me like it will interfere with the injector spray pattern? I drank the koolaid to start with but I think it only really helps with the heat sink effect in a drag race type of environment... Thoughts? Anyone have any Dyno results before and after? Any negatives to this? Anyone have some from a part out?
Ultimately I would like to do the AK Motorsports units but that is out of budget currently...
Thanks
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro its forged, but works on the rear. I used diff ball joints Attachment: IMG_20171008_184540.jpg Attachment: IMG_20171228_165441.jpg I notice in your picture that you have the ball joint on top of the control arm on the rear... on the front of my car the ball joint is hanging (also see you have KW’s installed). Not sure if it is just a ride height adjustment difference or? Does it matter? Thanks, Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Ok so did a little more cleaning before rear subframe/suspension install POR15 degreaser works wonders. Subframe in and control arms installed. Rear diff still has to get installed. Going to do the 108mm flange install first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Ok so still waiting for flanges to get here... I had a quick email session with Scott at Advanced, little concerned on the diff upgrade, he said that often when coming apart things get damaged that can’t be bought. Looking in line things like seals etc don’t look like they are available. Somewhat of a concern especially the side that has the diff lock seal... he has to custom makes shim kits etc and doesn’t even offer the service on rear diffs because of the potential cost overruns (my guess any way as I didn’t ask him. Going to talk to him tomorrow more on it, I’m banking on the fact that my base car was in amazing conditions with low miles / km. So my car didn’t have gear oil under it but it also hasn’t been driven a lot the last 10 years... never being one that’s smart enough to not dive in I thought I’d pull the flanges this morning... No drama at all, bolts came out and stubs with zero issues... seals seem ok, little stiffer than I would prefer but not bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
