Yup, it's coming along real well. I can almost taste the first start-up! I'm a 3rd shift mechanic for a big'o laundry company. Cant wait to finish school and do something else...

Replaced some of the essential timing components since I'd already torn it apart. A little insurance never hurts. Motor mounts are done, and all that's left is to wrap up the headers and I can begin final install.

Yeah I need to look into changing jobs at some point, just waiting to see where we end up moving in the future.

What brakes you going to end up fitting? (not sure if I've missed this already)

The funniest part about that pic is, if you look really close, that turbo is just hanging there! It's not hooked up to the exhaust.

Been busy doing nothing lately. Got the engine back in with the flywheel + clutch kit and tested it to make sure I wasnt going to have the same hang-up as my first BCY 01e swap I did a year ago. Wheels are turning while moving the crank in gear and, yet stationary when out of gear... perfect.

Made a big giant to do list, and going one by one knocking everything out. Aside from making a new oil feed line to the 76mm turbo and a drain line, I'm ready to start wiring in the harness, which aside from a spanner check is the last thing on my list...

Spent all of today redoing the throttle body piping and radiator shroud clearancing among a few other stuff, and I'm able to get the front end on beautifully. [wrench][wrench]

Front end/engine bay is 95% sorted.

Time to start wiring the RS6 ME7.1.1 ECU and OBD2 into the C4 S6

Pulled the URS4 harness through and labeled every single wire from the chassis harness that I'll be needing. To say it was a pain is an understatement, but I'm expecting it to make my life easier when I goto plug and play everything.

Also moved the car around to make it easier to wire everything. Not fun to say the least, the next house wont have the garage on a hill lmao

It's on H&R Greens and Koni shocks so those will stay.

I need to source the A6 brake conversion parts since I no longer have a brake bomb, but other than that I'm going to keep the stock brakes until I decide that it's no longer safe.

Hope you get pulled over and ticketed for obstructing the view. That is a danger to others and an eyesore.

NJ Law

39:3-74. Windshields must be unobstructed and equipped with cleaners
Every motor vehicle having a windshield shall be equipped with at least one device in good working order for cleaning rain, snow or other moisture from the windshield so as to provide clear vision for the driver, and all such devices shall be so constructed and installed as to be operated or controlled by the driver.

No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sign, poster, sticker or other non-transparent material upon the front windshield, wings, deflectors, side shields, corner lights adjoining windshield or front side windows of such vehicle other than a certificate or other article required to be so displayed by statute or by regulations of the commissioner.

***No person shall drive any vehicle so constructed, equipped or loaded as to unduly interfere with the driver's vision to the front and to the sides.***

Then i'm sure most of the old skool hot rodders with the superchargers sticking out the bonnet would get pulled over as well? Surely they would fall under this as well?

This is still safer than the majority of badly maintained cars on the road.

Yep, it's a thing.

At least you'd look cool with a big blower. You can still install a hood too. This just looks hack AF.

You'll have to put hood pins at all four corners with the turbo mounted that high and that far back. That's without even having a pipe installed at the turbo outlet.

Plus 550+ WHP on stock brakes? Great idea.

Congrats on making something that's has no resale value.

Why are you so butthurt about it man? If you don't like the build then don't look at it, don't come on the thread and start criticizing it like you're some car-building god. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. And seriously, who cares if its illegal?

Pretty sure if you mod a car that changes certain aspects make it illegal like euro bumpers catless dp messing with the airbags to add sport steering wheels and so on that dont meet fmvss epa and other standards. People assume the risk as its their car and wallets so why so worried about something someone else is doing.

Id think for normal driving and maybe a few spirited moments will be fine till decides to upgrade brake . Doubt he will be running it full tilt or tracking it before a proper shake down anyways. Even still if he wants to its his liability and risk.

Not everyone is concered about resale value. Some people like to enjoy their cars not keep it for the next owner.. its like having a gf and not sleeping with her so the next guy can lol

Some people just can't be pleased.. but with that I'll play along. Haha

I've had a URS4, URS6, and swapped 2 B3 Coupes with AAN's... somewhere along the way I got bored with cookie cutter S4/S6's builds; yes we get it, they can make a lot of power. I built this thing in my garage in 4 months, I've learned a lot along the way, and with no previous builds to go off of. I don't think I've mentioned it here yet, but I will be redoing setup to try and fit the turbo somewhere in the stock URS location; but only after these headers break (which they will).

Brakes are completely stock and with that said I still have the stock booster so no power brakes. I've daily driven these with no power breaks before for quite some time and they'll be adequate to putt around town and dial it in on our empty highways here in South Jersey (Even after this janky virus passes). Vacuum assisted booster will be in down the road.

One more of my super clean, 282,000 mile example that I completely fucked up so your head explodes.

Its like I told you when I was there, I may not be a fan of how this setup was done, but like you said, you have learned a lot along the way. It is interesting to see how you put it together, and made everything work.
