Hey guys at 3000rpm and above my engine light comes on and after driving for 10 mins down and shifting My engine will sputter the tachometer goes crazy the oil light comes on then my engine will die could this be a fuel pump related issue? Maybe a speed sensor? The knock sensor perhaps??... injector seals maybe??

I'd check for codes and the crank sensors

Could be a lot of things. Seems like your are struggling with this car. I would suggest finding a local to you knowledgeable audi enthusiast to come help you with it.

Any guesses why my car won’t rev past 3000rpm while driving?? But in neutral it will rev to redline... no check engine light on after 3000rom anymore. I found a few vacuum lines not connected which seemed to help a lot but I can’t get past 3k rpm (while driving). The gas in my car is over a year old could that be the a suspect? It backfires kinda bad but I didn’t want to fill up in case it’s a fuel pump issue. I put a fuel system cleaner in the tank, any other recommendations??

Thanks!

Welcome to CIS ownership. Replace all vacuum lines, check for cracks in all rubber air connectors/hoses, and replace the injector seals.

Lots of good info here already. Pull codes as that will help diagnose. SJM's site is invaluable when owning one of these cars.
