Do an ecu-upgrade to odb flashable edc15vm+ and change to a gtb2260vk. The ecu can be bought for €20-30 and vw t4 software with vnt-control can be flashed into it.

That was my plan while back, using GT22V, however with the car being just a daily driver I really don't need to go through the pain.. most of the items you are listing are not available on this continent and would have to be imported in. Wish we had the kind of diesel market you guys have there! Cheers

Wish we had the kind of diesel market you guys have there! Cheers That it is entirely true. You have a quite large 4-cylinder tdi market and the ecu does not have to come from a 5 cyl car. IF I have understood everything correctly all the ecu's with number 038 906 012 xx is edc15vm+ This sticker doesn't say edc15vm+ http://www.ebay.com/itm/VW-JETTA-GOLF-B ... 60&vxp=mtr" But this one does: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-02-Volkswa ... 1d&vxp=mtr" Both are on your side of the pond and the first is even in Canada. It can also be put into a neat little package: From this thread: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=416364" There is more info on tdiclub.com regarding ael with edc15vm+ ecu.

Guys I'm trying to update a audi 80 b4 tdi to 68 pin ecu. I already read all the topic, btw impressive project. Please help me to wire a 55 pin tdi to 68 pin. I know i need to change the top of the injection pump, air flow meter. But i already did try to wire it and it didnt start. Maybe its because of the IQ. But still my wiring wasnt good because the n75 stared clicking when i put the ignition on.

Love these five cylinders.
Would appreciate a video of a pull, cruise and rapid take-off.

love this project...I've got a guy in Ottawa who's sitting on the same engine and wants to drop it in an UrS4 or something but is too much of a tool to know what he's doing...I`ll wait for him to need some money and snatch the engine for cheap...but I gotta be honest - you need a Holset man no VNT to worry about, great spool and lots of power at 1/3 of the price...my 2.0 PD is loving it...

Emil, have you got that thing spooling well now? Would my AHU be able to spool it using a stock fuel pump with injectors and a tune?

I did balance myself but it was not perfect. Need to send to machine shop to do the right job. Did you go to the diesel 4 cyl. ECU ?
